"If you have type 2 diabetes and you’re scared or worried, there is lots of support and help out there. You can have healthy pregnancies when you have diabetes. You have to work a bit harder and find support to learn about it, but there are ways to have a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy. There are some medical people out there who say “Oh, that’s not a good idea” or “You shouldn’t do it,” but we tell women all the time it’s their choice. If they want to have a child or not, it is their choice. We live in a country where it is your choice, so we should have the medical support system there to have those kinds of supports in place for them."- Testimonial from a participant
