DREAM researcher Dr. Brandy Wicklow, pediatric endocrinologist at the University of Manitoba and Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba, was recently featured on CTV News Winnipeg to discuss the diabetes crisis among youth.

Dr. Wicklow shared insights on the growing type 2 diabetes crisis among youth in Manitoba – especially in First Nations communities, and the Next Generation study, a long-running birth cohort following children at risk of type 2 diabetes to better understand – and prevent – the intergenerational impacts of diabetes.
