Bio
My research focuses on understanding the real-world use, safety, effectiveness, and long-term health effects of medications in women, children, and youth. Using pharmacoepidemiology, linked population-based health data, and real-world evidence methods, I study medication use during pregnancy and early life, maternal and child health outcomes, and emerging treatments for obesity and type 2 diabetes, including newer glucose-lowering and weight-management therapies.
A major focus of my work is understanding how medication effects may differ across populations and over time, including potential disparities in access, treatment, and health outcomes. By integrating large-scale health data with clinically relevant questions, my goal is to generate robust, actionable evidence that supports safer, more effective, and more equitable medication use and ultimately improves the health of children, youth, and families.
