New paper published by members of DREAM/DEVOTION and partners in Nanaandawewigamig
This collaborative paper was published on the role of the early life environment and chronic disease disparities among Indigenous children. We examined the role of colonization on early-life factors on the mother and child and how they modify disease risk later in life. We specifically focused on interventions that may attenuate this risk including the Indigenous Doula initiative, the Strengthening Families Maternal Child Health program and returning birthing to communities.
